Steaming and steeping
the sweet and spicy crystals
dissolve in a ceramic pot,
then poured out for me,
and in turn
to nourish and warm this body
until it becomes part of me.
Ginger tea preaches
to me the Gospel
of the God
who has come
to get into hot water with us.
