Between Monday
and Saturdaya broken heart of romaine
cut down to the stub
came to life again
in a red ceramic bowl,
a shoot from
the stump of Jesse.
"Don't look for Jesus among the dead,"
the angel said.
Of course not!
Christ shows up at
my kitchen counter.
