"The Calling of a Prophet"

Watching my son
take his first bite of honeycomb
feels a bit like being witness
to the calling of a prophet.
Old Ezekiel said the Spirit
feed him words like honey,
and he knew he could not help but speak them.
Here in the neighbor's yard,
I felt a breeze kick up.
