"That God Laughs"

Let us
for a moment
set aside
cosmological arguments
or ontological proofs
for God's existence.
I submit, instead,
that the sheer existence
of purple cauliflower,
so unnecessarily exuberant in color,
is compelling evidence,
not simply for "God"
but that God laughs.
