"Yes, Sometimes"

Yes, sometimes
there is a voice
calling from the shining cloud
as Moses and Elijah
nod their ancient heads
in prophetic approval.
But sometimes not.
Maybe on a sultry Saturday
all that is needful is
a corona of sunlight
and you
to be the prophet
bearing witness
to God's voice.
