Becoming a Daisy
See Christ Here Poem and Picture 010--December 11, 2018

Do not look only backward
to what the brown leaf
used to be in summer,
but ahead,
past winter and the coming snow
beyond next spring and fall, too.

See now

that day
after it has returned to soil
when it becomes a daisy,
a seed,
food for birds,

and takes flight.
