The Beginning of a Dare--December 2, 2018
God isn't reducible to being "out there" or "up in heaven," but is present in all things.
The question is whether we will let our eyes be opened to see.
So here is a new challenge for the new church year: a photo and a poem a day glimpsing the presence of Christ, as part of our 2019 See Christ Here focus at Hope Lutheran Church and New Life Lutheran Church.
The invitation begins here: I'll be posting a new picture, taken each day from my ordinary everyday life, in the attempt to let Christ deepen my vision and see God's presence in new ways and places.
I'll invite you to do the same with the hashtag #seeChristhere and... who knows? The living God may just deepen our sight together, and we may come to recognize that all the world is holy ground, that God is present even in moments and places we thought were godforsaken, and that there is no corner of the universe where Christ is not already.
